Christmas shift at the Oberharz Mining Museum | Clausthal-Zellerfeld
The Oberharz Mining Museum, together with the Clausthal-Zellerfeld Tourist Information Office, invites you to a very special "Christmas shift" at the museum in Clausthal-Zellerfeld on the first weekend of Advent - 2 and 3 December: on Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm, visitors can experience the buildings above and below ground as well as mining in a Christmas atmosphere.
On Saturday and Sunday, visitors and locals will have the opportunity to enjoy mulled wine, punch, lumumba and sweet treats as well as savoury food and browse through (arts and) crafts on the lovingly decorated museum grounds. Many local artists and stalls will be present and offer the opportunity to buy your first Christmas presents.
Christmas in the mine
One of the highlights, in addition to the musical programme, will be the guided tours on both days at hourly intervals from 10 a.m. through the Christmas illuminated above-ground and underground show mine. Here, over 200 Christmas lights provide a completely new perspective on the mining history of the Oberharz.
