Archery in the Upper Harz
Take a tour on the 3D archery course "Bogenpfad Harz"
The Oberharz has a very exciting new experience to offer. The 3D archery course "Bogenpfad Harz", which is located between Clausthal-Zellerfeld and Altenau, directly at the OutdoorCenter Harz, is now available. The course leads over 3.5 kilometres through the beautiful Harz countryside. It consists of a total of 22 stations with over 50 lovingly designed 3D targets, which mainly depict native animals. The stations have different shooting distances, ranging from 10 to 35 metres. This makes them suitable for beginners and families as well as experienced archers. Arrow traps at all stations ensure safety. Guests who are shooting archery for the first time are instructed in handling, rules and safety by a trainer from the Harz Agency on a practice area.
There is a large overview map at the entrance to help you find your way around. There are also signs along the route and at all stations.
Notes:
- Please wear sturdy shoes, as the "Bogenpfad Harz" is partly unpaved.
- There is free parking directly at the OutdoorCenter Harz
- Toilets are available
Opening hours:
- Mid-April to mid-October: Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Open on Mondays, if public holiday | bow issue & instruction 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m.
- Mid-October to mid-April: Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00
- Closed in case of snow, ice or storm
- IMPORTANT The archery course is suitable for children aged 10 and over accompanied by an adult.

Admission fee:
- Adults and young people aged 17 and over: €13
- Children up to 16 years: €8
- €1.00 discount with guest card
- Rental bows incl. arrows and hand/arm protection for adults & young people aged 17 and over: €12
- Rental bows incl. arrows and hand/arm protection for children up to 16 years: € 7
