On Whitsunday, the traditional cattle drive takes place in Wildemann in the Oberharz Mountains.

The parade with numerous Harz groups and associations, including shepherds, cowherds, whip crackers and brass bands, which can be accompanied by all visitors, starts at 10.15 a.m. from the mountain pasture at Schwarzewald. The destination is the mountain farm "Klein Tirol" in Wildemann, where it arrives at around 11.00 a.m. and the town cowherds are ceremoniously appointed with musical accompaniment.
